In the heart of Latin America, Mexico cradles a disheartening title – the country with the largest stray dog population in the region. The numbers speak volumes, with estimates suggesting a staggering 15 to 18 million dogs roaming the streets, abandoned or born without the comfort of a home.

As the issue burgeons, the ramifications ripple through the community, with overpopulation leading to starvation, illness, and even air pollution from animal waste. That’s why organizations like Chiquita’s Friends and PET Los Cabos have stepped up to curb this problem. With cumulative experience in the decades, both of these organizations have been working to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome countless homeless dogs, which brings us to where we are today.

Chiquita’s Friends and PET Los Cabos have spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative – Spaying For Change. Slated for November 11th and 12th, this event is on track to become the largest spay/neuter event in Mexican history. The ambitious target is to sterilize 2,000 dogs, a stride towards curbing the overpopulation dilemma.

It’s more than just an event; it’s a beacon of hope for the countless furry souls meandering through Mexico’s streets. Each sterilization costs just $30, a small price for a monumental change. Your generosity could rewrite the narrative for a stray, offering them a chance at a life devoid of the harsh realities that their counterparts face daily.

We invite you to be a part of this transformative journey. A journey where your contribution could echo through the lives of thousands of dogs, fostering a safer, healthier environment for them and the communities they inhabit.
